Suzuki DF40A Outboard Motor Repower

In addition to being the only engine in the 40 HP class with DOHC performance, the DF40A is the only one with an oil-bathed, maintenance-free timing chain, which increases the outboard's longevity and ease of maintenance. With designs that are lighter and more compact than their predecessors, Suzuki's Lean Control System enhances fuel efficiency with greater displacements for increased power and performance. The Suzuki Troll Mode System is another feature of the new DF40A engines. At the 2011 Miami Boat Show, Suzuki Marine received the NMMA Innovation Award for the DF40A/DF50A from the Boating Writers of America.
